Mental wellbeing and work satisfaction are positive reasons to carry on. However, the constraints of finance are overwhelmingly the key issue facing business owners. A significant proportion of business owners fear that they will outlive the money they have accumulated to retire on (45 per cent Forum, 33 per cent YouGov). This is despite four in five business owners having pensions savings, and half having invested in their pension for more than 25 years (Forum).
